Bloomfield Bridge Tavern 1

Photographer: Mark Stroup
Date: November 30, 2003
Place: Liberty Avenue, Bloomfield, Pittsburgh
Why This Photo? At the Liberty Avenue end of the Bloomfield Bridge, the signs at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern are legion. There are a couple of other signs that I left out -- and the painted crests of three dozen Polish towns -- but just these two let you know that the BBT is chockful of textual information. Owner Stan Frankowski's signs can be political, fun, and controversial. The Polish Falcon is a great graphic, too.
