Bloomfield Sandwich Shop

Bloomfield Sandwich Shop

Place: Liberty Avenue, Bloomfield, Pittsburgh
Why This Sign?
Liberty Avenue, Bloomfield, is one of Pittsburgh's many great main drags. There are a lot of signs on Liberty Avenue, a lot of light boxes, some very arty signs with high design content, metal letters and so on. This is one of my favorites hand painted, a mix of three or four fonts, good proportion. The facing and the corbels are also tasteful, removing the permastone might make it too tasteful.

An interesting place with decent, greasy sandwiches... just make sure the owner's cigarette ashes don't land in your lunch. :)
